Most of the e-commerce and q-commerce conversation in India, GCC and across the world focuses on residential delivery. Home addresses. Last-mile to consumers. There's a massive, underserved market sitting right next to it that almost nobody is building for deliberately: workplace and commercial hub delivery.
Brand preference in GCC is strong and regional. Specific brands dominate in KSA that are not the same brands dominant in UAE or Kuwait. A regional catalog strategy that ignores this will have high browse-to-cart abandonment for reasons that won't show up in your funnel metrics as a "selection problem."
The operators who treat KSA as "UAE but bigger" will lose. The ones who treat it as a distinct market that happens to share a currency and a language will build the right foundations. The window for getting this right is now. The market is about to move fast.
